Can a 00' civic ex run w/o a tps sensor?

Not to long ago 2 screws broke from my top driver side motor mount, I got it re-threaded and replaced (the broken screws that went to the engine). Now my car does not idle properly on neutral and when the car is put in gear it will not go over 3500 or 4000 rpm. The car feels like it has no power. I replaced the map sensor thinking that was the problem but no change. Could it be the tps sensor?? If so could I run the car w/o that sensor being connected?? thanks
