What was education like in the 1700's in colonial williamsburg?

I am doing a repaot on colonial willaims burg but I cant find anything on education. I need to knwo how you cl affected your education and how litteracy affected how you get info along wiht how children where educated and why a slave would be educated... If you can help then thnak you very muhc.
