How do I get hair dye out of the carpet?!?

Having spilled hair dye on everything from carpet to bath towels to the vanity, the only way I know to remove it is to get hair dye remover from the beauty supply store. They sell about 4 different types and the salons use it to remove dye from their towels and capes effectively. I like the one by Sally Hansen because it is in a handy applicator bottle and less than 5 bucks. You soak the area, let it set into the fiber, agitate with a brush, blot, rinse and blot. You have to use a rag that you don't mind having the hair dye transfer into it because that is essentially what happens and the stain will be on your rag.
